Bancroft Studio is an intimate woodworking studio secluded in the heart of Lancaster City.

Visitors to the studio will be surrounded by sacred sculptures of early church saints and other symbolic figures, created by Jonathan using ancient woodworking techniques.

The studio is a close walk to all the major attractions and historic landmarks Lancaster has to offer: Central Market, Musser Park, restaurants, coffee shops, and so much more.

The city is one of the oldest inland towns in the United States and was designed by James Hamilton in 1734 as one square mile, and is considered the most walkable city in Pennsylvania - which is how Jonathan prefers to move through his world.

STUDIO EXPERIENCES

For small projects, gifts, and personal sacred objects, you can come to the studio and together we can make an object. This allows you to be part of the creative process and is a great way to learn about the spiritual art of woodworking.

If you are a skilled woodworker and want to learn about how to create a particular joint, or master the use of a hand tool, a studio experience is a great idea.
